Despite its almost half -century history, Mimosa salad is still well -deserved popular among many housewives. This is due to many ways to prepare it, as a rule, every housewife has its own. Someone prepares a salad with potatoes and carrots, and someone with nuts and onions. Only the upper – and yolks of the eggs remain permanent (thanks to them it got its name) and the lower canned food. You can only guess who invented such a simple and at the same time sophisticated salad with only one look already decorating any table!

Here is the recipe for the most economical in preparation and low -calorie salad. Eat without fear and with pleasure – extra pounds do not threaten you!

Cooking the lettuce mimosa

Take 3-4 pieces of boiled potatoes, 4 boiled eggs, a can of canned fish (preferably in your own juice), 3-4 pieces of boiled carrots, one middle onion. For impregnation 250 gram packet of mayonnaise. For a more delicate taste, you can mix mayonnaise with 100 grams of thick sour cream (without sourness).

It is better to take olive or Provencal “Sloboda” mayonnaise, it more likes all to taste all the familiar mayonnaise of glass jars since Soviet times. The only thing can be added to him on the tip of the spoons of turmeric for a more beautiful color, and for piquancy and improving digestion, a couple of chips of nutmeg and a little ground clove. Mix everything thoroughly, set aside – let the impregnation be infused.

Salad ingredients

For the first layer we take canned food (saira, tuna, salmon, pink salmon). Drain the juice, and the oil is even more so. On a beautiful flat dish, lay out and knead the fish with a fork, if it turns out a dry you can add a little juice. We smear the layer with impregnation. The second layer is finely chopped onion (if very angry – pour boiling water), smeared with impregnation. The third layer grated proteins, also smeared with impregnation. Fourth – Carrots shredded on a coarse grater and do not forget to lubricate it with impregnation. Fifth – chopped and saturated with a similar way to potatoes. Sprinkle the salad on top with finely chopped yolks and decorate with branches of greens. And you can make a knife for cleaning vegetables of rose from boiled beets or tomato, cutting as long as possible and pulp in a circle, and then turn it into a flower. And put a salad for impregnation in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
