Determine the calorie content of finished dishes

It has long been known that the secret of a slender figure is the balance between the number of calories consumed and spent. I also heard about this repeatedly and even tried to keep records of calories that are indicated on a pack of cookies, oatmeal and chocolate bars. But to count the calorie content of ready -made dishes I was always too lazy.

This continued until the question of excess weight rose especially acute. At that time (scary to remember!) I had 14 extra pounds. Having looked at myself in the mirror without joy, I decided that I needed to take myself into my hands. I found a table of calorie content of products and approximately calculated the calorie content of the dishes that I cook every day. Counted and horrified! It turned out that in order to fit into the norms of calories consumed, I need to reduce portions almost twice or make changes to recipes to make dishes less high -calorie.

For several days I approximately counted all the calories consumed, recorded, made changes to the recipes of my traditional dishes and suddenly realized that it helps! I began to feel light, and on the scales for the first time in a long time I saw the result – minus 1 kg.

Inspired by this, albeit a small result, I bought small kitchen scales so that you could accurately determine the calorie content of ready -made dishes and the size of my portion. To make it more convenient to calculate calories, I found a special counter, thanks to which I abandoned my notebook and began to keep records on the computer. This calorie calculator allowed me to significantly reduce the time spent on calculations, as well as streamline my notes.

Calculating the calorie content of finished dishes and calculating the necessary portions, I gradually reached my daily calorie rate, and my weight decreased by 5 kg. Then I decided to slightly speed up the process of losing weight and cut my daily norm. I read many articles on this topic. They said that for a good and stable result it is impossible to cut a portion strongly, it will be enough to reduce by 200-400 calories. So that the body does not get used to a new norm, the number of these calories is better to alternate. So I did. Three days a week I used my usual number of calories, and twice I cut the daily rate of 200 calories and twice – by 400. As a result of all these manipulations in six months, which flew quickly, there was no trace of excess weight.

Now I continue to follow my daily diet, but this is not at all difficult. This has become a habit, and I already remember by heart the calorie content of ready -made dishes familiar to my family. If I cook something according to a new recipe, then I always first calculate the calorie content and determine the size of the portion that I can afford. I think this habit will allow me to maintain harmony for many years.
