Ham with cranberry sauce

The most delicious ham is of course prepared at home. You think this is long and difficult? Nothing like this. Try cooking home ham with cranberry sauce – it is very tasty and of course useful than a store.

You will need:

1.5 kg of ham

2 tablespoons of salt red wine

3 laurel sheets

6 cloves of garlic fragrant pepper, 6 pcs. anise, teaspoon of caraway

For sauce:

200 grams of fresh or frozen cranberries

1/2 cups of brown sugar ginger, apple, peppers, lime zest and orange glass of red wine

Cooking method

1. Pour a liter of cold water into a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of salt. Put the ham in the salt solution. Add bay leaf and refrigerate for a day.

2. Get out, remove excess moisture with paper towels, cut the skin and grate the meat with pepper, insert cloves and anise into the section. Put the ham in a pan, pour red wine 1/4 of the height of the dishes and add caraway.3. Put in the oven for 10 minutes at 240 ° C. Then reduce the temperature to 150 ° C and cook the meat for 2-3 hours.

4. Pull cranberries with sugar, add finely chopped ginger, pieces of apple, chili pepper, lime and orange zest. Pour a glass of red wine.

Cook until apples and cranberries do not crumble.

Serve the ham with warm or cold with cranberry sauce.
