This pie is baked in the oven in a pan. There are a lot of variations of Ossetian pies, this recipe is perhaps the most common.
Ingredients:
1.3 kg of wheat flour
1.5 kg of beef
1 chicken egg
200 gr. onion
100 gr. garlic
500 ml of broth
Soda – on the tip of a knife
Black ground pepper and salt to taste
Recipe for cooking Ossetian cake with meat
We steal quite finely beef meat, add chopped garlic, onions, black pepper, salt to it, also pour the broth to the meat. We knead everything well.
We sift wheat flour, in the middle of the resulting slide we make a small recess and pour milk or water there, break the chicken egg, add a little soda and salt. A fairly cool dough is required for the Ossetian pie with meat, so if you need it, add more flour. Let him stand for 30 minutes and remember again.
We divide the resulting dough into two parts, one part should be slightly larger than the other. We roll most of the thickness of the half centimeter and put it in a pan, which should be pre -lubricated with fat.
We lay out a uniform layer of minced meat on the dough.
Roll out the second, smaller cake dough. We make small incisions in the resulting cake, and then cover it with minced meat. Now with the help of a rolling pin we fix the edges and cut off excess dough. We pinch the edges well so that the liquid does not flow out during the preparation.
Bake a pie in a well -heated oven. During baking, pour several spoons of hot water or broth into the holes of the pie.
