All poison, all medicine… This ancient wisdom will never cease to be relevant, even when it comes to the most ordinary juice.
Scottish scientists conducted a large -scale study in their homeland and revealed that an ordinary consumer does not even imagine how much sugar is contained in different popular drinks, which, interestingly, is generally considered “healthy”. Apple, orange juices, desserts with yogurt and berries, cocktails on the same basis sold in coffee houses – each of these positions, it would seem, are much more useful than ordinary coffee, tea, or even more so soda. According to most consumers, a large glass of such a drink is from 2 to 4 teaspoons of sugar.
And what was the surprise of the respondents when the incredible truth revealed to them: many manufacturers of drinks that we consider healthy since childhood do not even disdain those recipes that prescribe to prepare a large portion on… 20 teaspoons of sugar! It is not sacred that the love of such drinks is fraught with many diseases, among which – diabetes, heart failure, etc… In general, nutritionists recommend drinking more ordinary clean water, and when buying juice carefully read the label so as not to drink a lot of too sweet juice, being in blissful ignorance.
