Shakshuka – the concept of extensible. You can use any vegetables, mushrooms and even meat for its preparation.
Cooking time: 25 minutes.
For 2 servings you need:
4 eggs
2 large sweet pepper
2 large ripe tomatoes
1 large white onion
2 cloves of garlic
3-4 twigs of parsley, cilantro and thyme
olive oil
sugar
1 h. l. Zira seeds
A pinch of ground saffron
salt
black pepper
150-200 g of natural yogurt for serving
What to do:
1. Crush, clean and chop the garlic. Lay parsley and cilantro, as well as thyme leaflets on garlic and chop it all together. Add half this mixture to yogurt, salt and mix.
2. Clean the sweet peppers and cut with stripes a little less than 1 cm wide. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Cut the tomatoes in small cubes.
3. Pour the zira on a dry frying pan, fry, shaking, 1 min. Pour in the oil and heat it. Put peppers and onions, fry until soft, 5 minutes. Add 100 ml of water, the remaining greens with garlic and tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, sugar and saffron, simmer, stirring, 10 minutes.
4. Make a recess in the resulting sauce and gently break into each egg. Close a lid and hold on high heat until it is completely prepared. Serve directly in a pan by laying on top of the seasoned yogurt.
